Storytime

Storytime at DCPL

Storytime

Storytime programs are seasonal, but typically occur every Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
Starting August 15th, Storytime will incorporate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) with themed read-aloud books and activities intended for children ages 3 – 6 years old.
This special Storytime will use Preschool STEAM activities to create a fun and hands-on way to challenge children’s thinking and problem-solving skills. These activities help promote essential 21st-century skills, which are important in preparing children for an unknown future.
Through the process of experimenting and exploring, children are using creative and critical thinking skills. The activity’s final product is not as important as the process.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Douglas County Public Library.

Please check the Library Calendar for dates and times, or contact the library for detailed information.

Children should always be accompanied by an adult.
